Any Preston High School 11th grade student interested in applying to become a member of the Preston County Buckwheat Festival Senior Royalty Court must attend a mandatory informational meeting being held next week. The interested students and their parent(s) or guardian(s) are required to attend one of the two meetings to be held on Monday, December 5th and Tuesday, December 6th at the Kingwood Volunteer Fire Department beginning at 7:00 pm.
Topics at both meetings will include the selection process, requirements, expectations, and guidelines to run for and serve as Queen Ceres, King Buckwheat, Princess and Escort and to reign during the 76th Annual Preston County Buckwheat Festival. Applications and additional paperwork will be distributed during the meeting and applications will only be accepted from those who have attended one of the two meetings
